Weekly Community Roundup: May 20–28

Check out what's been going on in the Bitrise community this week!

It’s time for another Weekly Community Roundup! This week, we saw a lot of tweets about our new Rebuild with Remote Access feature, as well as some nice recommendations and insights on people starting out with the platform, too. Let’s take a look, shall we?

Articles of the week

Our first article of the week comes in the form of a story — one about how the author, Sasanori, built an Android app with the help of Bitrise (in Japanese). Thanks for sharing this — we’re looking forward to seeing more stories about how you’re using the platform, Sasanori.

We also wanted to give a huge shoutout to Javier Marsicano, who held a talk at Android Devs BSAS about using Bitrise for Android development. Javier also shared his slides for the presentation, which you can find here. Thank you for all your work — it's great to see this kind of enthusiasm, and we hope we can share many more talks of yours like this in the future.

Tweets of the week

Our first tweet of the week comes from Yukimikan88, who just started experimenting with Bitrise, but has already gotten a handle on it all. We’re really happy you found the system so easy to get into — let us know how it’s been going on since then!

We also saw a tweet from Sean Oszlewski, who thanked John Sundell for recommending Bitrise to him, and talked about how fast he got a custom CI setup going. We’re happy you’re making such great progress with the platform, Sean.

Next up, we have a tweet from Mono, who wrote a series of tweets about the costs of using Bitrise in comparison to other CI systems. We’re always happy to be seen as the most sensible choice — thank you for keeping us in mind, Mono.

Kikuchima also tweeted about us upon getting introduced to Bitrise at the Flutter meetup in Tokyo this week. Hope we made a good first impression — keep us posted on your journey with the platform!

We also saw a tweet from Kenta Nakai, who is another one of our new users. We’re hoping your project goes well, Kenta — let us know if there’s anything we can help with.

Next up, we have another recommendation, this time from Javi, who mentioned us as the best alternative to other, more resource-consuming CI solutions for mobile development out there. Thanks for the shoutout, Javi.

Next, we have three tweets in a row from Bastian Inuk. In his words, setting up CI with Bitrise is “super fun”, and our support is a “super great delight”. He also shared our blogpost about our iOS Auto Provision step, which helped him with his project quite a bit. We’re happy to see you’re having so much fun, Bastian.

As we have already mentioned, we had quite a few tweets about the release of our Rebuild with Remote Access option, through which users can check their builds on the actual virtual machines that they're running on, and gain more insights on why a specific build failed. With this in mind, we created a compilation of the best tweets about the feature. We want to thank all of you for sharing your experiences, as well as for all the kind words you've had about the release — we really appreciate it, and hope you'll find it to be a valuable asset in the debugging process.

The roundup wouldn't be complete without a list of all the other people who had mentioned us during the week, of course. We want to thank each and every one of you for talking about Bitrise — cheers!
