Mobile CI analytics for your team and your agents

Bitrise Insights tracks build time, flaky tests, cache hit rate, PR cycle time, and infrastructure spend across your Bitrise workspace.

Catch the CI slowdowns before they become a problem

Build times drift up a few seconds a week. A test fails one run in twenty. A cache stops hitting after a dependency upgrade, and none of it raises an error. You just see slower releases and a bigger bill, with no clue which change caused it.

Insights reads every build, test run, pull request, and cache invocation in your workspace. It tells you what to fix first and warns you when a number slips.

Bottlenecks ranks what's costing you the most time

Bottlenecks ranks failing workflows, slowing builds, resource usage, failing tests, slowing tests, and flaky tests by how much time they cost you. Each entry links to the builds and test runs behind it, so it's the list to check before you plan platform work.

Track builds, tests, cache, pull requests and CI spend in one place

Build analytics show you where your CI time goes

Track p50 and p90 build time, failure rate and build count, broken down by app, pipeline, workflow and step. Filter by branch and around twenty other dimensions. The Commands view adds duration and error rate for each Gradle and Bazel command.

Flaky test detection finds the tests you can’t trust

A test is flagged as flaky when the same commit produces both a pass and a fail, or repeat runs in one build disagree. The list is ranked, so work starts at the top. Each flagged test shows the runs that disagreed, with their commit and build.

Build Cache analytics show if your cache pays off

A cache degrades without errors. Insights reports cache hit rate at p10 and p50, saved build time and transfer sizes. Read p10: it shows the builds that got nothing from the cache.

Git Insights tracks the time from commit to merge

Git Insights splits PR cycle time into development and review time, and reports merge frequency. It works with GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket. Put cycle time next to build duration to see how much of the wait is CI.

Utilization shows your build limits and what they cost

See build minutes by machine type, concurrency, queued builds, storage and AI credits. Queued builds next to concurrency show whether your limit is costing engineer time. On Enterprise platform plans, you also see spend against your commitment.

Alerts and dashboards tell you when a number moves

Create an alert from any chart, with a threshold and a window of an hour, day, week or month. Alerts post to Slack, Microsoft Teams or email. Pin the metrics you review each week to a dashboard, and export any breakdown as CSV.

Ask your agent about your CI with the Bitrise MCP server

The Bitrise MCP server includes Insights tools. Connect Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or any MCP client, and ask about your CI in plain language. Your agent answers from your workspace data and only sees what you're allowed to see.

Insights API

The Insights API is a read-only REST API for build and test metrics. It returns totals, time series, and flaky test cases for each project. Teams use it to feed Datadog, Grafana, Databricks, and Backstage, or to run scheduled flaky-test reports.

“Bitrise Insights does a lot of the heavy lifting for us. One of the things that the team loves about Insights is the flaky test measure. We struggled with flaky tests, as they’re really hard to pin down, especially determining the gravity of the problem. Insights was instrumental in finding those issues so we could resolve them, which we did. Our teams were blown away by the functionality in Insights.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Bitrise Insights?

Insights is the analytics layer of the Bitrise platform. It measures builds, pipelines, tests, pull requests, build cache, commands, and infrastructure usage for every project in a Bitrise workspace. The data is available in dashboards, alerts, the Insights API, and the Bitrise MCP server.

Does Insights work for iOS and Android?

Yes. Insights covers iOS, Android, and cross-platform projects in one workspace view. It filters by app, workflow, branch, and time range.

Do I need Bitrise CI?

Insights requires a Bitrise CI or Bitrise Build Cache plan. Build, pipeline, test, Git, and utilization metrics come from Bitrise CI. Build Cache and command metrics come from Bitrise Build Cache. Build Cache-only workspaces on another CI see Build Cache and Commands in Insights.

What setup does Insights need?

Build metrics need no setup. Test metrics need the Deploy to Bitrise.io step. Git metrics need a webhook with push and pull request permissions. The Setup table lists every requirement.

How does Insights detect flaky tests?

A test is flagged when the same commit produces both a pass and a fail, or when repeat runs in one build disagree. A test must run more than once to be classified. Detection is retrospective: it finds flakes in your history.

Can my AI agent query Insights?

Yes. The Bitrise MCP server includes five Insights tools for build totals, build series, test totals, test series, and flaky tests. Agents need a paid Insights plan.

Is there an Insights API?

Yes. The Insights API is a read-only REST API for build and test metrics. It is part of paid Insights plans. The reference is at api.bitrise.io/insights/api-docs.

Is there a free trial?

Every workspace gets a 30-day trial with full Insights access.

How is Insights priced on Enterprise plans?

On Enterprise platform plans, Insights is part of the platform agreement. Your account team sets volumes above 5,000 builds or 5M test results per month.

Who sees the data?

Insights follows workspace and project permissions. API tokens return only data the token holder sees in the interface. Workspace-level alerts are managed by workspace owners. Project-level alerts are open to project members.
