Weekly Community Roundup: April 15–23

Check out what's been going on in the Bitrise community this week!

Welcome to another one of our community highlights, everyone! This week, we saw a lot of buzz going on thanks to iOS Test Night 10, and had some excellent articles written about us. Let’s see what’s been going on in the Bitrise community.

Articles of the week

Our first article of the week comes from Yuta Kawabe, and is a guide for transitioning from Travis CI to Bitrise (in Japanese). Thanks for all the work you put into this, Yuta.

Our next article is from Yoppie, and is about using Bitrise and DeployGate together for distributing Android apps (in Japanese). Amazing work, Yoppie — we appreciate it.

Next up, we have an article (in Japanese) about skipping a specific step based on pre-defined conditions on Bitrise by Noriyoshi Sato. Cheers, Noriyoshi!

We also saw two (Japanese) articles about our time in Tokyo this week: Hiragram from Cookpad’s mobile team wrote an article about us — to be more precise, about our visit and meetup at their office while we were in Japan. Cookpad wasn’t alone, though: Kyosuke Inoue from DeployGate also mentioned us in a roundup article they wrote, talking about the great time we had while we were over there.

To both Cookpad and DeployGate: we want to thank all of you for all the fun we had, and hope to be able to see you soon again.

Tweets of the week

Our first tweet of the week comes from DC Android, who talked about how great Bitrise is and encouraged people to try it out. Thanks for the shoutout, folks.

Wow, @bitrise makes it easy to wire up your #Espresso UI/instrumentation tests across several devices with #CI/#CD as part of the same build via their Virtual Device Testing step (based on Firebase Test Lab)! Check it out if you haven't already! 😎💪🚀 #AndroidDev #TestAutomation pic.twitter.com/sArzzvddj6— DC Android (@DCAndroid) April 15, 2019

Next up, we have a tweet from Shogo Yamada, who commented on Bitrise’s amazing reputation for fast builds over other competitors’. We’re hoping to make your builds faster too, Shogo.

Next, we have a tweet from Jason Modisett, who talked about his experiences with Bitrise, and how he thinks it’s a pretty cool continuous integration platform. Thanks for the kind words, Jason.

Gotcha. Does Gradle support Swift projects? Bitrise is pretty cool for continuous integration that I’ve been testing with my Swift stuff... my manual dependencies haven’t been an issue at all with it— Jason Modisett (@jasonlmodisett) April 17, 2019

Thanks to Zach Simone’s inspiring talk about using CI for side projects, Patrick Dockhorn also decided to try out Bitrise. We’re happy to have you on board, Patrick — happy building!

Thanks @zachsimone for your talk about CI for side projects - since all my projects are side projects I’ll definitely look into BitRise now 👍 #cocoaheads— 💧 Patrick Dockhorn (@panondo) April 18, 2019

Don’t worry, we have some Bitrise swag this week as well: Caleb Stultz thanked us for “building an amazing, CI platform AND sending … cool stuff”. It caught the eye of many others, including Marcos Griselli and Facundo Menzella. Last but not least, we have a tweet that filled us up with fuzzy and warm feelings to the extent that even the leftover chocolate eggs and bunnies in our pockets have melted. Reffas, we’re so glad to have fans that adore what we do so much, and we wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you for this tweet.
