Weekly Community Roundup: August 7 – 14

Check out what's been going on in the Bitrise community this week!

Welcome back to another Weekly Community Roundup, everyone! This week was a little bit lighter than usual, but we still saw some great articles and tweets. Let's check out what's been going on!

Articles of the week

Our first article of the week comes from Matteo Danelli, one of our most active Writers' Program members. This time, Matteo wrote a piece showcasing his workflow for compiling and deploying his Android project written in React Native. Always a pleasure, Matteo — cheers!

The other article we saw this week was from Infinum's Josip Krnjić, who wrote a detailed comparison between us and a competitor when it comes to Android projects. Thank you for all your kind words, Josip — we're humbled to be chosen as your recommended platform!

Tweets of the week

Our first tweet of the week comes from O’neal Ombu, who posted a lovely picture of the swag package he got from us. Thanks for sharing this, O’neal!

Next up, we have a tweet from Cat Turner, who talked about her experience moving away from another platform and onto Bitrise. We’re really happy you’re having such a great time with us, Cat — keep up the good work!

Our next tweet is a very special one, indeed: it’s our IOSDC 2019 poster, made by the one and only Shinji Tsuchimochi! We wanted to thank you for your work here as well, Shinji — it’s amazing, and we’re sure it’s going to be a hit at the event!

Next, we have a tweet from Wisdom Nwokocha, who gave us a huge shoutout for making Android CI/CD so simple. It’s our pleasure to be able to help, Wisdom.

Next up, we have a tweet from Adam Henry, whose step titled “Send a Chatwork message” is now included in our step library. Thank you for your contribution, Adam — we really appreaciate it.

Our next one comes from Tdrk18, who shared our “Bitrise Checks on GitHub Checks” DOCS page, and talked about how the feature was something he was looking forward to for a while. Thanks for using Bitrise, Tdrk18 — hope you have all-green builds!

We also saw a tweet from Swift Conf Toronto about the presentation Kyle Newsome held at the event, titled “Continuous Integration - What, Why & How feat. Bitrise”. We’re thrilled to see you talk about us, Kyle, and hope everything went well.

Next up,we have a tweet from Fumiya Kume, who just discovered Bitrise CLI. We’re glad to have you on board, Fumiya — if there is anything we can do to help, let us know!

The week wouldn’t feel whole without a swag tweet, though: this time, Chris Rivers asked us how he can “get his paws on one of our funky ginger space cat stickers”. Well, Chris — there might be something waiting for you in your PMs. 😉

We also saw a tweet from the Wixted Witch of the West, who, in response to a joke about another solution, tweeted about how “Bitrise has the loveliest UX ever”. Glad you’re enjoying the platform — hope to hear more about your experiences with us!

Last but not least, we wanted to share our tweet regarding our upcoming, second Bitrise User Group meetup (BUG). Right now, we’re in search of speakers for the event, and there’s a pretty cool prize involved — Bitrise pins! Let us know if you’re interested, and we’ll get in touch right away.

That’s it for this week’s roundup, everyone. If you have any great experiences or stories about using Bitrise, or would just love to share the progress you’re making on your current project with us, don't forget to do so on social media, or submit an article to our Writers' Program, and you might see yourself in our next set of highlights. Until then — happy building!
