We’d just want to let you know that your builds running on Linux are now faster. And that this is included in your plan, so you don’t have to do anything, just enjoy the ride or see the details below.
Okay, but what exactly changed?
You might have seen the macOS performance increases that we introduced with Gen 2 in June. We wanted to increase the performance of our Linux build environments too. So, in early September, we started to use stronger Linux machines to provide better build performance: we switched to a newer CPU architecture and also increased the memory available:

How do I get this?
Start a new build. 😏
These changes were applied automatically to all builds using any Linux machine type: Standard, Elite, and Elite-XL.
How much extra does this cost?
There is no price increase in any of the plans:
- Concurrency based users have the same price as before
- Teams and Velocity customers can use the same Linux machine types for the same credit multipliers:

Can we see some actual numbers?
Sure.

Start a new build or compare your recent build times with one from August (or earlier).
Happy building! 🚀
