Be a guest of Bitrise for an awesome data workshop on Nov 30 or Dec 14. Apply for one of our workshops about NoSQL data analysis or CI/CD.
Beyond Relational Data
SQL and relational databases are essential tools in analysts' hands. Our goal is to demonstrate solutions dealing with other forms of information: documents, API responses and graph databases via building small media analysis applications in Python.
Topics to be covered:
- Recapping working with flat tables, relational databases
- Limitations of the tabular form
- Working with REST APIs: GET and POST HTTP requests
- Parsing JSON
- Storing data and querying document databases
- Introduction to Neo4j graph database and Cypher query language
Who should apply?
Beginner and intermediate level analysts.
Some familiarity with concepts of Python is expected.
When?
2018-11-30 10:00 am.
Where?
Mosaik (1136 Budapest, Pannónia utca 32.)

CI/CD of Data Products
Have you ever pushed faulty code? And a poor model with correct syntax?
The more we rely on machine learning, the more harm we can do by releasing poor code while the more complex our data products are, the more easily we can generate unintended side-effects. A data product is just like any other application involving coding whether it is for mobile, web or desktop. We use similar tools and make similar mistakes.
Let's introduce Bitrise's command line interface for continuous integration and delivery and show how to
- Handle environmental variables,
- Integrate multiple tools and languages,
- Pipe steps of data processing and
- Preview results of your SQL code or machine learning model right after committing it
Who should apply?
Somewhat experienced analysts, data scientists, data engineers.

Who will you work with?
Tamás Srancsik is a Data Analyst at Bitrise. He is responsible for almost all aspects of data from defining logs through the integration of third-party services till business intelligence reports and deeper analysis for Product and Growth Teams. This variety of teams comes with the variety of data sources and solutions to present. Prior to Bitrise, Tamás worked as a Statistician Manager at Nielsen and as Customer and Product Analyst at Prezi.
Both workshops are free of charge but unfortunately, we have a limited number of seats.
