About the Step

Data Theorem is a leading provider of modern application security. Its core mission is to analyze and secure any modern application anytime, anywhere. The award-winning Data Theorem Analyzer Engine continuously analyzes APIs, Web, Mobile, and Cloud applications in search of security flaws and data privacy gaps. Data Theorem products help organizations prevent AppSec data breaches. The company has detected more than 1 billion application eavesdropping incidents and currently secures more than 8,000 modern applications for its enterprise customers around the world.
To provide you with this level of security and protection, we're announcing our brand new integration with Data Theorem's Mobile Secure product: the new Step will help you find vulnerabilities and data privacy issues within your iOS and Android applications on Bitrise.
The Step will help you in:
- Analyzing open-source and/or third-party SDKs your application uses
- Securing your code within the CI/CD pipeline
- Identifying security and privacy issues
- Enumerating data leaks
- Spotting mobile phishing attacks
How it works
While other security-focused Steps perform the security analysis during the build time — and making build times longer — this Step sends the artifact to Data Theorem. This way the build keeps running the regular way, regardless of the result of the analysis.
After the Step sent the app’s artifact for the security check, you’ll see the result of the analysis in your Data Theorem account. This is where you can learn more about the results and take the necessary steps based on the insights you received.
Data Theorem accelerates security, loves automation, and trusts data. High-performing mobile teams at Duo Security, RingCentral, Evernote, and Bluescape are already using their service to build safer applications and maximize data protection.
