Introducing M2 Pro machine types— the latest addition to Bitrise's Apple Silicon offering.

Choosing the right  Apple Silicon Machine is essential to delivering value to customers when developing, releasing, and managing iOS apps. We are proud to be one of the first companies to offer our customers access to the latest and greatest machine, the M2 Pro. As the only mobile DevOps provider offering M2 Pro machines for iOS CI/CD builds, we're excited to offer these to our enterprise customers who require bigger, faster machines to run their businesses.

Customers can choose from 3 machine types (depending on computing power requirements):

  • M2 Pro Medium: 4 CPU 6 GB
  • M2 Pro Large: 6 CPU 14 GB
  • M2 Pro X Large: 12 CPU 28 GB

Putting the power in Pro: How M2 Machines boost performance

The Bitrise M2 Pro machine types are powered by the strongest M2 Mac Mini version: the 12-core M2 Pro Mac Mini. With eight performance cores, this Mac Mini enables super-fast Xcode building and testing. In comparison, the M1 MacMini only has four performance cores.

Beta customers already see faster builds and app deployments

Bitrise has been offering the M2 Pro machine types in closed beta since September - and the results have been outstanding. As a result, customers have experienced significant performance improvements, enabling faster app development:

  • M2 Pro Medium is 25% faster compared to M1 Medium
  • M2 Pro Large is 25% faster compared to M1 Large
  • M2 Pro X Large is 10% faster compared to M1 Max Large
