We're excited to announce the open beta of a new feature within Bitrise Insights: Bitrise Build Cache Insights.
This enhancement expands on our existing Build, Test, and Git Insights, enabling you to monitor and optimize your remote Bitrise Build Cache performance if you're leveraging Bitrise Build Cache for Bazel or Gradle to speed up your builds and tests.
Our mission is to empower you with actionable data, alerts, and customizable dashboards to get even more value from your Bitrise experience.
What's New in Bitrise Insights
New Build Cache metrics give teams key insights to optimize build speed, efficiency, and performance:
- Invocation Count: See how often the cache is used to monitor adoption, track impact, and quickly identify misconfigurations that disrupt cache usage.
- Uploads and Downloads: Track cache activity to understand usage trends and identify inefficiencies. A high upload-to-download ratio can indicate redundant data storage, highlighting areas to streamline for faster builds.
- Cache Hit Rate: High hit rates indicate effective cache use. Track hit rates to identify and address areas where caching could be improved, boosting build speed and reliability.
- Egress Volume Tracking: For non-Bitrise CI/CD users, monitor outbound data to optimize cache configurations, manage transfer costs, and reduce build times.

Just like all other Insights metrics, you have complete control over what data you view and how it's displayed. Easily create personalized dashboards to focus on what matters most, and set up instant notifications via email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams to stay informed in real time.
