Our finance group organization sits between the classic finance team, the data, and the IT systems teams. The biggest trait of my team is having a real supporting approach to the organization, being a team that is able to work not only within the team but also cross functionally, being able to listen to the demands and put the voice of the team in the conversations.

What does your job entail and what challenges do you meet?

Peter Lengyel
Finance Controller

What I most enjoy at Bitrise, that you can achieve an immediate impact while you deliver on a daily basis. The unique work  environment, where self-driven and employees with a growth mindset can help you to do your best work. I think there are only a few other companies out there, where a proactive and collaborative mindset is valued as much as at Bitrise.

What kind of knowledge, skills and qualities do you need to perform this role? How do you upgrade?

Fanni Bódi
Finance Controller

My tasks, responsibilities, and the finance processes, in general, have changed incredibly a lot throughout the 3 years I’ve been working here. Back then when I started, I didn’t have much experience in Finance, this was my second job in this field and the very first at a tech start-up. I’ve continuously been challenged to do things I’ve either never done before or had little experience in and later, as the company was growing and changing, to iterate on those things or to completely change them to fit the actual state of the company. You have to be okay with leaving your comfort zone and accepting that you are going to make mistakes. That’s how you learn, that’s how you grow and that’s how you become more confident. This doesn’t always come easily or naturally, there are still times when I need a push from my peers and managers and they are there to provide the support I need.

What do you value most in your workplace? What’s your biggest motivator to come to work in the morning?

Zsófia Kovács
Finance Controller

I most value the mindset of ownership and freedom at Bitrise. We are free to take risks and failure is not only accepted, but it is how we learn and proceed towards our common goal. We are all in this together, no matter which department you're working for, you feel that you're surrounded by these amazing people and you all want the same: Bitrise's success.
